Here is the penciled preface page to my new book– color to come. I was ready to go into full production when I decided to rewrite the first 5 pages. 48 pencils done and waiting to lay them out and continue... 
What a wonderful journey– visiting with Sam, eating 15 shekel schwarma, living in a small apartment, taking buses, shopping at Machaneh Yehudah (pics below), meeting wonderful people, feeling icy hail on my face at the Western Wall, praying in the beautiful Italian Synagogue on Shabbat, listening to Brother Olivier sing in the Monastery in Abu Gosh, sifting through ancient debris from the Temple Mount (Monica found a 2000 year old coin– no, she did not keep it.) It was a trip of a lifetime.   |
